Dr Joseph Chan is a practising doctor in UK and has been doing Acupuncture for over 20 years. He is highly recommended; therefore you need to book in advance for an appointment.
Any time during our opening hours you can pop in and have your blood pressure taken, as it can be difficult to do this at the doctors. As for glucose monitoring, it’s best to come in the morning before having anything to eat or drink to get a true reading. We do not charge for this service. Cholesterol test is a bit more depth which has to be done by the pharmacist, preferably early morning, after fasting. Cholesterol tests have to be booked in advance and a small fee does apply, as it is done privately.
We are happy to accept unwanted medication, including controlled drugs or over the counter medication. If you are not using it anymore, or it has expired, to be in safe hands it is best to hand it into the pharmacy to dispose of. The only thing we do not accept is sharps containers, which are to be collected by your local council.

Our MUR service gives you a chance to discuss any concerns or questions you may have, and help you to understand the medication you are taking with one of our five pharmacists available on site, in a one to one consultation.
We provide a repeat prescription service for our customers (within range) dealing with a multitude of surgeries. We also provide delivery service free of charge, twice a day. Private and veterinary prescriptions are welcome and we will always provide you with competitive prices.
If you have recently started new medication, regardless of the condition it is used to treat, one of a pharmacists can help explain what the medication will do, the strength, maybe recommend when the best time to take it, the possible side effects that you may occur etc.
If the patient is weary about starting the new medicine or have any questions we are happy to help, and often enough ask the patient to call into the pharmacy or on telephone consultation a couple of weeks later to see how they doing once commenced the new medicine.
You can get advice from a pharmacist (male or female) which ever you feel comfortable with, in our consultation room so you don’t have to feel self- conscious of who is listening to your predicament or personal matter.

We work in conjunction with The GP Service which allows you to make an appointment and speak to a doctor via the internet. This is a UK based company that gives you an alternative if you are struggling to get into your own doctor's surgery. It is all done privately, therefore the appointment and prescription fee will be charged. You can pop into our store and make an appointment via our iPad, and then take it into the consultation room to explain your symptoms to the doctor, once the doctor has given you a diagnosis, your prescription will electronically come to us to dispense.
